Hyperfine Mobile Low Field MRI

The Hyperfine Swoop is the world’s first MR imaging system capable of providing point of care neuroimaging.

With a magnetic field strength of just 0.064 Tesla, it is suitable for mobile scanning – taking the scanner to the patient not the other way around!

The motorised system allows the scanner to be moved throughout the facility, is suitable for transportation in a standard elevator and is powered by plugging into a standard power point.

The ultralow magnetic field also makes it compatible with hitherto contraindicated devices such as standard ventilators and general anaesthetic equipment.

The HIRF system has a transmit/receive head coil facilitating neuroimaging using contemporary sequences such as T1, T2, inversion recovery and diffusion weighted imaging.
